The Heart of doTERRA - February 2022

· sourcing,healing hands

This month on the blog, I want to take the opportunity to focus on what sets dōTERRA apart from other companies out there. We will be taking a deep dive into the two most incredible and unique aspects of this company: Cō-Impact Sourcing and the Healing Hands Foundation.

All of our oils are sourced through dōTERRA’s exclusive sourcing model called Cō-Impact Sourcing. Did you know that over 100 of dōTERRA’s essential oils are sourced from over 40 different nations?

dōTERRA makes it a point to source our oils from where the plant thrives in the world! Our sourcing team goes out into the world, finds where that specific crop is in the best soil, temperature, humidity, soil and environment for that plant to yield the highest therapeutic essential oil.

We create a relationship with these farmers, many of which are from impoverished areas around the world. dōTERRA supplies training and tools to improve growing and distilling practices (a rushed process yields a poor quality oil, so we allow these crops to mature to give the TOP QUALITY oil as that is our CPTG standard) and pays the growers, harvesters, and distillers well above fair trade value to give us exclusive rights to their farm and harvest.

Through sustainable sourcing practices such as Cō-Impact Sourcing, dōTERRA is able to provide the highest quality essential oils from around the world and to do so in a way that truly makes a difference. It is a win/win on both sides of the bottle.

A big piece of what sets dōTERRA apart is our level of transparency. An excellent resource and example of dōTERRA going above and beyond to provide the most tested and most trusted essential oils on the planet is the website https://sourcetoyou.com/en.

This website will show you sourcing stories involving the growers and distillers from all around the world, along with the Quality Control information.

Each bottle of dōTERRA essential oil has a unique Quality ID on the bottom of the bottle. This number can be plugged into the Quality ID search bar to result in the Gas Chromatography (GC)/Mass Spectrometry (MS) test results from an independent, verified third party lab. You can see the tests run on the very bottle of oil that you hold in your hands. Talk about complete transparency from a company!

PS. This is unheard of in the essential oil industry!
